Akira is a reincarnation of a very ancient Goddess; he is not entirely her, but rather a fragment of her.
Akira's Origin: Akira was part of a group of children in a cult that was going to sacrifice them in the name of the Goddess they worshipped. Akira, being an orphan and unaware of his origins, ended up being the first to be sacrificed, but ... his blood caused the Goddess to emerge. Akira was a vessel for the Goddess, returning to bring her back to life. The Goddess, angered that one of her children had been touched, caused Akira to show his demonic side, devouring the entire cult camp.
Akira was found by an old woman who ended up adopting him and taking care of him. He ended up having 4 adoptive sisters who helped him adapt to his new life. Akira took a long time to become an adult; even when his sisters were younger than him, even as they grew up and became adults, he still had the appearance of a child.
He ended up committing many crimes throughout his life, living for over 100 decades, remaining alone and fleeing from his own origins. Few know why he ran away from home, but many know of the persecution he has endured across universes. Akira can only traverse universes thanks to the goddess's necklace, which helps him in various ways.
Akira struggles with the guilt of having been a murderer and having made irreversible mistakes, trying to mask this by laughing and using questionable humor most of the time, hiding the truth from close friends and pretending he never had this past. Akira appears to be 18 years old, but the truth is he has lived much longer, though he always prefers to lie about his real age, saying he is only 18.
Akira is the 57th reincarnation; the other reincarnations spoken of by the goddess were "fragile and weak projects where she is constantly learning and adapting in order to fulfill her role again." The longer the goddess remains imprisoned, the more she wears down, acquiring more chains on her feet, hands, and neck. The weight of her life increases, causing her body to become trapped in a mixture of slime and chains, gradually melting away.
Akira feels sorry for her and hopes to find other ways to save her, since she is his mother, who raised Akira and gave birth to him. Akira can change his appearance and has some powers and Quirks.
Who was the Goddess? The Goddess was one of the three main goddesses tasked with maintaining order and peace in the universe, but she betrayed her kingdom and was killed by her superiors. Enraged and seeking revenge, she made a pact with Lucifer, intending to return and destroy that universe and all the gods' creations. The goddess's end came in a public square when she confessed to falling in love with a demon, but this same demon was planning to kill her. Lucifer sensed potential in her and decided to save her, sending her to the Void where lost souls remain until they are found. There, she made the pact. No one knows what the pact was, and she herself won't be able to remember it, but we know she's trapped in a body; we just don't know why or how. Some theorize that if she remains inhabiting that body, she will be able to control it and return to destroy the universe. The goddess made Akira emerge as the first goddess of a rank below the Sovereign of the heavens, creating a living being capable of learning little by little, almost like a human.Show more
