IRIAM Brings One of Japan’s Leading Vtuber-Focused Live Streaming Platforms to the U.S. for iOS and Android Devices

DeNA Co., Ltd., has announced that the beta version of IRIAM, one of Japan’s leading Vtuber-focused live streaming platforms, is now available in the U.S. for iOS and Android devices. Launched in Japan in 2018, IRIAM has generated over 3.9 million downloads and hosts over 10,000 daily unique streams, allowing Vtubers and their fans to interact in real-time through seamless, almost zero-latency streams. IRIAM’s intuitive interface makes it easy for fans to participate in engaging conversations and performances, send virtual gifts, and take part in community events — right from their mobile device. 

Some of IRIAM’s key features include:

  • Bigger Interactions in a Smaller Space: Fans can interact directly with their favorite Vtubers to foster a dynamic and engaging environment optimized for mobile devices. With the ability to send stars (similar to“likes” on other platforms), comments, and virtual gifts, fans can actively shape the stream and the community.
  • Real-Time Interactions with Almost Zero-Latency: IRIAM delivers ultra-smooth, high-quality streams with virtually no lag, allowing fans to feel like they’re part of a live in-person conversation or performance. Fans can even contribute to the stream, as virtual gifts turn into stage effects that become part of the show for all to see. 
  • In-App Events: Special in-app events provide fans with the opportunity to collaborate with each other and their favorite Vtubers to earn exclusive rewards.

Founding Streamers are a select group of Vtubers who will be the first to go live on IRIAM when it launches in the U.S. Nearly 80 Founding Streamers will debut, with more added over time. Miria and Shirasu: The Official Characters of IRIAM
The platform’s guiding presence, Miria, and mascot, Shirasu, reflect IRIAM’s forward-thinking philosophy. Miria’s name is derived from the Japanese word for “future” (MIRAI) and represents the colorful, creative world that IRIAM brings to its users, while Shirasu, a cat-like character with a love for small fish, adds a playful nature to the platform.
