No one really knows where Ayonnii came from, not even Ayonnii herself. Her earliest memories are of a life spent constantly surviving, adapting, and staying one step ahead of whatever challenges came her way. She grew up surviving however she could.. slipping through crowds, finding places to hide, and disappearing before trouble could catch her.... Despite the harshness of her past, Ayonnii has always had a soft heart hidden underneath it all. Stray animals always seem to find her, and no matter how little she has, she always shares. Deep down, she dreams of building a place where unwanted things finally have somewhere to belong. But for as long as she can remember, something about her felt wrong. Reflections that didn’t match. Features shifting slightly when she lost control of her emotions. Strange instincts that didn’t feel human. Eventually, Ayonnii discovered the truth... she could shapeshift. Not illusions, but real transformations. Faces, bodies, entire forms bending at will. The more she used her powers, the worse things became. Somewhere buried in her bloodline was an ancient cambion curse tied to shapeshifters. Every transformation slowly fractured the soul, and eventually the user would lose themselves completely, becoming trapped between forms forever. Ayonnii began experiencing violent shifts she couldn’t control. Her body became unstable. Her memories blurred. Even her horns began cracking under the pressure of the power building inside her. Desperate to stop herself from fully losing control, Ayonnii underwent a forbidden ritual using an abyssal amulet containing a gemstone meant to seal unstable demonic power into a single permanent form. The ritual worked. Barely. The transformation shattered one of her horns, revealing glowing crystal-like energy underneath, as if the original horn had only been a shell containing what she truly was. The amulet containing the gemstone fused directly into her chest, becoming both the source and prison of her powers. And when the ritual ended, only one form remained. A tiger shark. Now locked into her final form, Ayonnii can no longer fully shapeshift, though traces of her old abilities still slip through when her emotions spiral. The glowing gem embedded in her chest pulses with the power of every form she once carried, and sometimes it feels like those lost versions of herself are still trapped somewhere inside it. Whether the ritual saved her or cursed her permanently, even Ayonnii doesn’t know. But through all of it, she continues to try and to understand who she really is beneath the curse and the form she’s been locked into. Show more
