Comame

Comame, also known as Rong Rong Shu (茸茸鼠), is a female Taiwanese-Japanese VTuber who debuted on the 25th of July 2021. She is affiliated with SpringFish Studio (春魚工作室). She can speak Japanese and is now learning Chinese and Taiwanese. Her fanbase is called "Long Mao Hou Bu Sheng (龍猫候補生)”, meaning "Totoro apprentice," and "Rong Min (茸民)," meaning... "Comame's Citizens." She wants to become a chinchilla (velvet mouse). She learns the art of transformation under the guidance of her master, Meruru (美綠綠). She likes singing, strawberry-flavored snacks, and creative activities. She is a native Japanese, but is also able to speak both Mandarin and Taiwanese. Her livestream content often focuses on Taiwan-related topics, quickly gaining her significant popularity. This includes singing classic Taiwanese songs, recreating Taiwanese memes, and sharing travel experiences in Taiwan. Of course, she also plays currently popular games. While her Chinese is not quite at a native level, she has no problem living in Taiwan. Interestingly, her vocal tone (“qi kou”) suits many Taiwanese songs well, including those by famous Taiwanese singer Wu Bai (伍佰). She also plays games like Fate/Grand Order and Blue Archive, and she frequently streams gacha pulls. On September 8, 2022, Comame was livestreaming while eating a hamburger when she suddenly fell asleep 42 minutes into the stream, worrying viewers. She was eventually awakened after her manager and Loco Lost (洛可洛斯特) repeatedly called her. Before the incident, she had mentioned struggling with insomnia. On December 9, 2022, she was livestreaming and sharing Taiwanese merchandise. At 11:50 PM, she said goodbye to viewers but forgot to end the stream, which continued recording for about 9 hours until around 9 AM the next morning. Because her avatar kept waving for the entire duration, she was humorously nicknamed the “Hui Ye Ji (揮夜姬)", meaning "All-Night Waving Princess.” On January 21, 2023, she accompanied Taiwanese viewers during Lunar New Year’s Eve while pulling for Nitocris in Fate/Grand Order. About 1 hour and 35 minutes into the stream, she fell asleep again, waking up roughly 37 minutes later. Her livestream content often includes anime quizzes, cosplay, and chatting streams, engaging with fans around ACG culture. Comame (茸茸鼠) is quite proactive in expanding into overseas markets. In addition to collaborating with Taiwan’s Toranoana (台灣虎之穴) and Animate (台灣安利美特) to release merchandise, she has also participated in physical events in both Taiwan and Malaysia. She has two identities and personas. As Comame (茸茸鼠), she operates as a VTuber, while for her doujin music activities, she goes by Mochikomame (もちこまめ). Show more
