Rumi

Rumi, also known as LanMeowKo or Lan Mao Zi (懶貓子), is a female Japanese-Taiwanese VTuber who debuted on the 6th of August 2021. She is affiliated with ENVISION. She can speak Japanese and Chinese. Her fanbase is called "Rumily." LanMeowKo is a female Japanese VTuber known for her cute anime-style appearance, exceptional singing ability, versatile... gaming streams, and unique cross-language interaction charm. She was originally created in 2018 as a mascot project by the well-known streamer LanMeow (懶貓), designed as his “imaginary younger sister.” After years of development, she officially debuted as a VTuber in 2021 and has continued learning Chinese ever since. In August 2019, Sharp Point Publishing (尖端出版) released her first light novel, LanMeowKo Observation Diary (懶貓子觀察日記), written by B.L. and illustrated by LM. In January 2023, M.E. Entertainment introduced its first VTuber group, EXITUS, and LanMeowKo famously required all members to address her as the “cutest genius senior in the universe (宇宙第一可愛天才大前輩).” In March 2024, manga artist Wei Zongcheng (韋宗成) launched Rumi’s Wonderful Adventure (Rumi的奇妙冒險), the first LanMeowKo vertical comic series, serialized on udn.Game (遊戲角落)’s platform, mojoin. It was also Wei’s first webtoon-format project. One of her most distinctive design features is the adorable paw-shaped tuft of hair on top of her head. Singing is one of Rumi’s core talents, and her sweet, expressive, and highly infectious voice is a major reason why so many fans, known as the Rumily, are drawn to her. Her gaming content covers a wide variety of genres, though she is particularly passionate about and skilled in FPS games, where she often showcases remarkable focus that contrasts charmingly with her cute appearance. Beyond streaming, she also enjoys illustration and even had experience in animation editing before her debut, highlighting her versatility as a creator. Her streams are lively, cheerful, and highly interactive, as she loves chatting with viewers and creating a warm sense of comfort and companionship. Her ongoing journey of learning Chinese has also become one of her most beloved characteristics. She was created as part of LanMeow’s mascot project. As LanMeow’s younger sister, she appears cheerful and outgoing on the surface but is actually a game-loving otaku cat in private. Rumi is the younger sister of LanMeow, whom she calls “BOSS.” Full of energy and a bright personality, Rumi loves singing and playing games. Her cute reactions and... charming personality during livestreams have made her very popular among fans.
